You can use the Sawyer Micro water purifier like a straw, attach it to a compression bag, attach it to a bladder hose or attach it directly to a regular recycling bottle.

The same 0.1 micron hollow fiber membrane filter is used in the Micro water purifier as in other filters. With the Sawyer Micro water purifier, you can filter 378,540 liters of water. In practice, this amount of water is enough for a lifetime.

How to use the water purifier?
Fill a squeeze bag or spiral recycling bottle with water from a river, stream or lake. Screw the water filter onto the bag or drinking bottle (28 mm thread) and squeeze the water through the filter into your drinking bottle or some other water container.

Drinking directly from the mouth opening
If water is available in a place where you can't get it in a squeeze bag or bottle, you can drink directly from the mouth opening of the water purifier using it as a straw. The water purifier has an easy-to-open cap.

Compression bag lost or damaged?
Attach the Sawyer Micro directly to the spiral soda bottle. We recommend soft plastic bottles, such as 1.5 liter spring water bottles. We also recommend CNOC bags with Sawyer water purifiers.

NOTE! The Sawyer Micro water purifier can withstand frost only if it is unused. A filter that has been put into use cannot withstand frost, and the warranty does not apply to a filter damaged by frost. In winter conditions, transport the water purifier e.g. in the back pocket to prevent damage. For the night, place it in your sleeping bag.

What does Sawyer Micro remove?
It removes 99.99999% of bacteria such as Salmonella, Cholera, Leptospirosis and Coli. It removes 99.9999% of all protozoa, e.g. giardia and cryptosporidium. In addition, it cleans the water from 100% microplastics.

How to maintain the Sawyer Micro water purifier?
The water purifier should be cleaned at the latest when the flow through it slows down. If the water purifier has not been used for a long time, it should also be cleaned. By rinsing the filter, you also moisten the filter of the cleaner, so it lets water through more easily. The filter is cleaned by squeezing clean water through the filter using a cleaning syringe. Squeeze the water through the filter so much that the water squeezed through is clear.
